Zara and Winners & new Youtube video (May Topbox + Fried Chicken)

Happy Sunday!
Went to Square One Shopping mall to look for dresses for my bridesmaids and of course I left the mall with some Zara purchases.  FYI, they've got a sale going on so go now before sizes run out.  Surprisingly the line up for the change room wasn't bad and the line up for the cash wasn't bad either.  Even my friend was saying how organized and tame it was compared to the Zara location she visited downtown.
Black top for $35 CAD and pants for $20

Left: $40 Zara Right: $44 Winners

Question: Which one do you thing is more appropriate for a wedding? (the top right photo)
I want to wear the one on the left but I'm scared that I will be caught wearing a dress someone else is wearing since it's Zara.  The pants were a steal at $20 and they're super stretchy so they're very comfortable. You can't see it in the photo, but the pants have zipper detailing on the side of the leg, nice touch :)

....and last but not least, Mississauga is finally getting a Galleria! woo hoo! It's a Korean supermarket that sales anything from yummy food to cosmetics (kind of like a T&T supermarket).  Sorry for the crappy photo, I took it from the car with my cell phone.  The location is right across from the new Walmart by Dixie and Dundas

Here's a short video of this fried chicken place that I tried in Japan..yumyum!

Unboxing Topbox March + Haul + L'oreal Colour Riche Balm

What a beatiful day it is today ^_^ I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday!

I just wanted to post a video I did of my unboxing of the March Topbox subscription.

My youtube video here: Unboxing Topbox March 2012

These are the items that were in this month's subscription of Topbox. Unfortunately, I signed on last year and since they were sold out, I received my first shipment in March (this month). So far, I am pleased with the shipping process: they send you an email with the tracking info and if I remember correctly, it arrived on the exact estimated day of arrival.

The other day I went to walmart to kill some time as I was waiting for my replacement brakes at the garage. I always love roaming around cosmetics :) I found this little gem: the L'oreal Colour Riche Balm in #518 Tender Mauve. I LOVE this!!!! It's smooth, not sticky, has SPF of 15 and the colour looks great on the lips!
When I was cashing out, even the cashier said she loved this product :)
My sis and mom just came back from japan so I post a video in the next little while on my Japan haul :)
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend! ttys

First Youtube video: Abercrombie, Hollister Haul +timmies

Happy March 1st! :)Hope you all had a wonderful February!

I posted a quick post about the Abercrombie & Fitch , Hollister sale and just wanted to share my haul with you on Youtube
Youtube video

I apologize in advance as I'm using my laptop camera to record: the video quality isn't the best and the sound is muffled :s Next time I know to use my regular camera ...sorry about that!

The sale is still happening, but just make sure that you click on the clearance section, not the sale section. After receiving my package, I realized I was missing something that I ordered for my other friend...unfortunately it was sold out :( I went online again today and found a hoodie for $12.50! Couldn't resist so I got one for myself too! With shipping and 2 hoodies, it was about $49 meaning each hoodie was about $25! Not bad in my opinion!

Anyways, hope you all have a great week.  I've had quite the rough week. My fiance is in Japan so I'm doing a lot of my wedding planning on my own. It's tough.  Everytime I go and see a vendor they ask me: why are you alone? I see couples choosing flowers, tasting various cakes, choosing the right photographer...the list goes on.  Then today as I was driving I realized I was being selfish.  I should be really appreciative for all that he does for me...I am so loved and I should truly appreciate this instead of wasting all my energy on my pity party.  So I told myself : Appreciate what you have. Appreciate it b/c there's no doubt that there is someone else in this world that has it a lot worse than you do

Japan snacks haul with a dash of Uniqlo

My boyfriend just came back from Japan today and he brought me back a couple of yummy japanese snacks that I wanted to share with you all.  He was only there for 2 weeks (family emergency) so he only took a duffle bag with him when he went.  When he asked me what I would like from Japan, I held my tongue and instead of blurting out "Japanese cosmetics!" I requested for something sweet: Castella! Mmmmmm so good! It's kind of like sponge cake but 1000x better. I know they sell these at T&T Supermarket, but the real stuff is just to die for :P~

mmmm Yummy

He also got something call Nama Chocolate, which means raw chocolate.  He was shocked that I haven't heard or tried raw chocolate before.  Am I the only one that hasn't heard of raw chocolate? haha Anyways, these choco pieces just instantly melt in your mouth, so velvety.  It's so "raw" that when he purchased it at the airport, they packaged the chocolates with an ice pack and thermal bag O_o

And then of course there is Hi-chew, I believe you can purchase these at H-Mart or Galleria in the Greater Toronto Area, so yummy! They're kind of like Starburst, but are more chewy.  He also bought some cute candies (love the packaging btw) and a chapstick , which states it holds moisture for 8 hours!

...and then of course Japan has Uniqlo. Oh I wish we had Uniqlo here in Canada.  He bought me some tops, but I just wanted to share the Heattech top.  I remember when I was in Japan last winter, it was all about the heattech to keep warm.  I was very happy to see these tops as Canadian winters can get quite chilly.

My hair is just tucked into my scarf and thats why it looks short :p  The scarf was only $10 from pacific mall, Jacket $20 from Japan, purse which is open was only $25 from yesstyle, pants are Lululemon, and Ugg boots

Stay warm my friends :)

***Sorry I haven't been using cosmetics lately so I don' thave many beauty things to post.  Actually I'll probably be doing a blogsale sometime next month as I really need to give better homes to some of my costmetics! I'll keep you posted :)

A little bit of Japan

Hello! I'm getting requests for photos of Japan, but I have been hesitating posting some of the photos up. I mean it's easy to find photos of Japan that most tourists and people take, so I decided to post photos of things that you usually don't see (hopefully). My trip to Japan in December 2010 was mainly to see my family. I didn't get to do much shopping or site seeing because several of my family members (at that time) weren't doing so well. anyways..enough of me blabbing....

I had a bakery close by and they had so many different types of buns and took several photos of them, but just wanted to share these two.

This one is based on Miffy :)

This one is based on Anpanman (translates to redbean bun-man)

While in Japan, I spent majority of my time near Ginza - here are a couple of photos:

Hello kitty store at Ginza - too many cute things in the store....didn't snap photos :p I felt awkward busting out my camera :p

The teddy bears were really popular when I went in December 2010. I told myself I was going to purchase a small one for my purse, but forgot to pick one up :( This store front display was at Ginza ...(for those Toronto folks, Ginza is like a HUGE yorkville)

These little guys I found on TV - why are the characters so darn cute?! There's domokun (the square brown 'scary' looking thing). Sorry forgot domokun's partner's name.

My first day there, went to the local drug store and bought a bunch of stuff :) So far, I LOVE the chapsticks and sunscreen. I was initially pleased with the DHC produtcts, but lately I don't see the same results as I did while I was in Japan :(
I have a lot more photos...specifically photos of dessert and food :p more to come! (btw, if you want those touristy photos, just let me know and I'll post them too). Have a great week!

Coffret D'or Essence Stay Rouge

Drum roll.....

wahh...so pretty^^ So while I was in Japan, I kept seeing the commercial on TV for the Coffret D'or's essence stay rouge. I was sold when I saw the packaging (>_<) I went to the store to check out prices and if I remember correctly it was about 2600 yen, which is approximately $30 CAD. Initially I told myself that it was too expensive, but then ended up caving in and buying it. I mean c'mon, I'm not in Japan that often -:p

I knew right off the bat that I wanted the coral one. I went to the store and did swatches, but decided the coral was the one for me (my mom thought so too lol)...unfortunately they were sold out. They had the other shades, but were sold out of the OR-106. Disappointed, I kept browsing the store to see if there was anything else that caught my attention. I found one of those beauty packages that came with a compact, one of these lip glosses and eyeshadow. I checked the package and it had the OR-106!!! My mom asked the owner if we could break up the package and he did it for us :D (I felt really bad for doing that because as we were leaving, he told one of his employees to look around in the store to see if they can find another OR-106 to replace it)...ok enough rambling...

I like the fact that you can wear it sheer, and also pack it on to have more colour. As you can see in the picture of the swatch on my hand, its somewhat pigmented. Since my lips are pigmented to begin with, the colour it gives is nice and subtle. Compared to other lip glosses (example MAC), it's not as sticky and glides very easily..I love it! I'm not using it that often because I'm so scared to face the day when I run out..

Good news: You can purchase it online at Adambeauty.com. It's actually cheaper online (approx $26 CAD) and I believe shipping is only $2!..I suppose I can always purchase more from here if I run out (^^)

More stuff from Japan to come....

Happy Weekend!

Michael Kors Watch

drumroll please.... it has finally arrived!

My MK Watch! I contemplated for awhile whether to get the gold or the black. A lot of ppl have the gold and well, summer is over, so I decided to get the black one instead :D My first reaction was "damn this is heavy" lol It's a nice sturdy watch (a little big for my whimpy wrists), but still love it nonetheless! I will definitely get the one in gold or the one in tortise next! The watch is #MK5191 and purchased it for $189.62 CAD. After taxes + shipping I think it came out to approximately $220 CAD.

I purchased it from overstock.com (now that I think about it, not sure why I didn't just go to the store at Sherway lol) I just checked to see if they have it online, but looks like it's sold out! (sorry guys) EDIT: I went to the Michael Kors Store at sherway today and she sales rep told me it was $285, meaning after taxes I saved a whopping $100!!! wow

You can check out the men's version of it here or the sold out women's version here

Ok...seriously no more shopping, I gotta start saving for xmas! Oh..and thanks for your help with the previous post regarding Holt Renfrew. I have decided to hold off on the LV purse for now for many valid reasons :( It will have to wait... I told myself that I should have AT LEAST 6 months pay saved up before buying anything big. I remember reading on a forum somewhere - this girl said that she just got an increase in her credit card and that she was gonna go out and buy an LV purse b/c of it! whoa whoa...ppl, please don't view your credit card as money in your pocket! Save up for big purchases and pay it in full - that way you don't have to worry about paying interest and the item is all yours :) I mean, using your cc is a great way to build your credit rating, but don't use it if you can't pay it off :)

Have an awesome week - upcoming posts: NOTD, small review on 2 diff eyeshadow primers and that darn fiberwig mascara :D

Hello! Haul from Korea :D

My boyfriend recently went to Korea for his friend's wedding. I wrote him a 'small' list of some brands and products. This is what he returned with :D

Originally I wanted the gold cap BB cream that has the cream blush in the cap. In the description I said, purple body and gold cap..he returned with this one instead lol:

I'm still super happy and very appreciative that he got me all this stuff! Honestly I thought he would just return with a small little bag, but there's just so much! :D I'll put some of the duplicate items in my giveaway :)

On a side note, is there anyone out there than can read Korean? I don't know what the skin care items are for. The one with the BB cream, i'm not sure if that's a primer or moisturizer ? (if you click on the photo, it should expand)

Have a good week!

New goodies (for me!)

I got some goodies in the mail \(^_^)/

If you follow Lorraine on Youtube then you've seen these necklaces before. These necklaces look SO nice in real life :) I've purchased a 36" silver and 42" gold, but I should have just ordered 2x 42"length instead. They just sparkle and look good with any outfit! You can purchase them here

I also ordered some of these fiberwig mascaras since they were on sale. I have tried it a couple of times and like it so far. I will try to do an individual post on it on a later date though.

That's it for now...I can't believe I'm writing this while I'm on a conference call! (talk about multi-tasking) ahha

Have a great week!

This is my first time being a Sephora VIB so I was very pleased to see this. :D

I couldn't wait so I got mine ahah XD

This offer is only Aug 6-8, 2010 so go pick up your swag bag!
For those Torontonians, don't forget to check out Taste of the Danforth :) The last couple of times I have been to it, it rained, so I never got to fully enjoy it :P If I have time this weekend, I'm going to try and check it out.

If you're bored tonight and don't know what to do, come to Nathan Philips Square - I'll be there singing in the SGI Youth Chorus for Hiroshima Day

Have a great great weekend!!!!!!!!

Finally..my mug shot - well, kind of

Lately I have been wondering if I am in the right profession. For those of you who don't know, I work in the healthcare industry, but lately I've been thinking maybe this isn't right for me. I mean, dont' get me wrong, I enjoy what I do, it's rewarding, I like going to work ...BUT I don't LOVE it. I want to be able to wake up every morning with excitement, but I don't :( I know there are people out there that wake up and dread going into work. Luckily I don't experience that, but I'm not jumping for joy either. I wonder if I worked in the arts if I would feel this way.

Have any of you seen that reality show on TLC called DC cupcakes? It's about two sisters who quit their corporate jobs to open up a cupcake shop...now that would be so much fun! I don't know, maybe I'm just analyzing my life too much. I should appreciate the fact that I have a good job that I enjoy. Some people are struggling out there looking for a decent job and I'm over here complaining that I like my job and not loving it ahhaha

Enough of me blabbing..here is a mug shot of myself (and my other half). I am still apprehensive about putting up a photo of myself so when this picture came out blurry, I thought: "perfect for my blog!" lol

On another note: I have a massive haul to post. This photo doesn't include the E.L.F, F21, and urban outfitters items I have purchased recently. I NEED to stop spending. The photo includes items from Sephora and sasa.com

Have a great week :D

Obsessed with nail polish - Essie's summer 2010 Collection

My current obsession: nail polish

I think it's because summer is here which gives me a good excuse to wear somewhat vibrant colours :D I really want to buy those green's from OPI's shrek collection, but I don't think my workplace would appreciate those colours =\

Anyways, I was at Winners the other day and saw that they had Essie's 2010 summer collection!

From left to right: Haute as Hello, Demure Vixen, Miss Matched, and Seche Vite
(the polishes were $6.99 CAD each and top coat was $7.99 CAD)

For the full colours in this collection, visit Essie's website: http://www.essie.com/seasonal2/

Has anyone tried the Seche Vite? I hear the gurus hyping up this product, but my current Revlon top coat seems to be doing a good job. I'll let you know how it compares!

Another thing I'm obsessed with are my silver and gold filled bangles. I wear them every single day :)

What are your current obsessions?

Juicy and new trend?

Just took a couple of photos of my Juicy couture necklace that I bought from the online Hautelook sale

I believe the cost was under $30! As for the actual necklace, I haven't worn it yet. It's not really my style >_< It's kind of bulky for my liking. (strangely enough my bf likes it though). I was thinking of wrapping it around my wrist twice and using it as a bracelet instead haha Maybe if I pair it with a simple tank in the summer, it wont be so bad

annndd.... I was browsing channels the other day and this image caught my attention

Is this a new trend that I'm missing out on? Capri jeans with boots? hm....I suppose everyone has their own style. I'm sure many have looked at me at one point and wondered where I was getting my style sense from :P

My super overdue post: LUSH and Sasa.com Haul

So here is my long overdue post that I was supposed to complete weeks ago lol. I purchased some masks from sasa.com

The top one is the Bright up nano eye mask. It states that it eliminates dark circles and tightens eye zone. Includes 7 pairs, cost $6.40 USD. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know if it does as it states. The reviews seem to be quite good so I am looking forward to not looking like a panda anymore :P

The bottom package is the My Beauty Diary Pinky Tender Mini Set and costs $16.00 USD. It includes the Japanese Cherry BlossomMask x4, Bulgarian White Rose Mask x 4, White Truffle Fantastic Whitening Mask x1, and a small tube of the Skin 79 BB cream ^_^

I have already tried the Japanese Cherry blossom mask and I was satisfied with it. Not overly satisfied, just satisfied if that makes sense lol. It was hydrating, but I didn't really notice a difference on my skin, even though I left it on my skin longer than recommended. Oh btw..I'm still looking for a really good moisturizer that contains SPF, so if you have any suggestions, pass them my way!

So I had to go to vancouver for work and ended up purchasing some items from LUSH as I was waiting in the airport! >_<

I ended up getting an exfoliator: Ocean Salt and a moisturizer: Imperialis. I tried both items in store and it seemed quite nice so I bought both.

The Ocean salt comes unmixed. It states on the tub: "We take the time and the coconut (and grapefruit and sea salt) and mix them up together in our stimulating, fruity, vodka-based face scrub. For a complexion that glows." 120 g $17.95 CAD

I haven't used the the Ocean salt yet, but I have used the moisturizer while I was on my trip

The girl stated that this tub should last me for approx 4 months..not bad, not bad I thought. It is very hydrating and I am very, very pleased with how it leaves my skin. I just wish it had some SPF in it. It states on the tub: "Made with lavender, orange flowers and tiger lilies to create well balanced skin. Good for faces that are oily in places and dry in others or a troublesome T-zone." 45 g.

Also received a free shampoo sample :)

I'm super excited to try out the masks and the BB cream....Once things start to settle down, I'm going to give myself a personal day, relax and let my skin absorb what there is to offer in those ever so popular Beauty Diary Masks ^^
