Lorac and Juicy on sale at Hautelook

For those of you who don't follow Haute Look, they have a Lorac and Juicy Couture sale going on right now. I'll definitely post the items that I got when I get them..but just wanted to share the link with you

or just visit hautelook if you don't want to use the referral :)

Shipping to canada was $10.95 plus an additional $5 for processing (?)..I still think it's a good deal as they're selling Lorac eye shadows and lipsticks for $4 (reg. $18). I ended up getting a cheek stamp for $4 (reg. $22) and palettes $11 (reg. $35). As of right now though, they only have the Pink Panther palette left. I also got a really cute Juicy necklace for $26!!! (reg. $75). I don't think they have a lot of Juicy items left, but they have quite a bit of things left for Lorac. I personally haven't tried Lorac cosmetics, but I hear good things about their eye shadows :)

Sale ends in approx 34 hours :)

Another similar website is Beyond The Rack - my referral link
or just the regular link here

I hope you find some good deals ^_^

New layout

I just changed my layout/template! I hope you all like it :)

I got it from:

With this new layout, looks like my older posts aren't shown at the

Anyways, please take a look at my post about Blushes ^_^

Have a great night, and if you're in the GTA, please drive safely!

Blush Swatches

So here are some blushes I use more frequently + the blush I just purchased for $1 at the Body Shop Outlet in Niagara Falls :)

1. Colorbox in #11
2. MAC MSF in Petticoat
3. Cargo in Sunset Beach BB-06
4. EDM in Snuggle

This picture is by the window in natural light - no flash

This picture is in just regular room lighting - no flash

Here are the swatches. From left to right: swatches in flash, no flash in washroom, no flash by the window (natural light)

I didn't realize how some of these blushes are so similar in colour!

1. The colourbox is used occasionally when I feel like I want pink cheeks :) I find that this blush stays on longer throughout the day than the other blushes.

2. The MAC one is nice once in a while when I want like a shimmer, but I'm starting to dislike the shimmery stuff. I'm finding that I don't reach for it as often as I used to. It has more of a pinky tone to it.

3. The cargo blush (#3) on the photos is a lot more bronze in colour than I thought it would be. I suppose you could still choose the specific colours you want from the cargo as the colours are split into 4 sections. It's only alright... I find it that it's not as well pigmented as my EDM - which is good b/c sometimes I put on way too much blush lol (i'm still a newb). I like the cargo for little darker colour - I think i'll use it more often when it's summer and my skin tone is darker. It's kind of shimmery too.
Here is the swatch of the individual strips found in the Cargo Blush. The swatches correspond to the the photo up at the top. (use my middle finger, the most bronze colour, as the reference). Not as pigmented as I thought it would be.

4. I'm enjoying the Everyday minerals one right now -it's a peachy blush and it's slightly shimmery. It gives me a nice healthy glow, not too dark for my skin tone and not too light as well. (I get compliments when I'm wearing this one) ^_^

The Body Shop blush is a Roseflower Blush in 02 Fuschia. As you can see the sparkles on the blush, it doesn't get transferred to your skin,'s not really as sparkly as you may think it is. As soon as you open the compact, you can smell the scent of roses. I like it, but you may not if you're not fond of scents. The smell doesn't transfer onto your cheeks lol

The bottom swatch is the Body Shop One. The top line swatch is the Colorbox blush. From left to right: swatches in flash, no flash in washroom, no flash by the window (natural light). I haven't actually tried out the Body Shop blush yet..I keep forgetting I have it ahah I will try it out soon! It looks so pretty!

Question to you all: How do you help keep the colour on throughout the day? I find that my blush is totally gone by the time I get home from work :( Do you do touch-ups during the day?

Olympics 2010 & NOTD

So as you all know the Olympics are being held in Canada this year. Starting last year, The Hudson's Bay Company has been airing this commercial with all the Olympic wear and I saw this one sweater that I have been wanting for the longest time. Every time I visited the Bay, it was sold out. I tried multiple locations - all sold out :(

One day, I got a call from my sister telling me that Zellers actually had some in stock! I ended up in Zellers and picked myself up this sweater and a pair of the mittens that you see everyone wearing on tv :)

The sweater is SUPER warm :) I bought the large size so I can wear it with some leggings and boots. It has CANADA written on the back, pretty simple

The mittens were $10 - proceeds go to support our Olympic athletes. As per Zellers' website, they have raised over $4 million with these mittens!

Are you following the Olympics? I hope you're all enjoying it so far and are able to see what Vancouver, Canada is all about^^

Colour is: Play Fair. It's a cute pink/purple colour^^. I was in a rush and didn't put on a top coat, but it has lasted for several days now - not bad, eh? (btw, I put on 2 coats)

..and...I apologize, I have to post some swatches and reviews.. >_<.. soon to come!

Canada One Factory Outlet -Niagara Falls

Hello! My boyfriend and I went to Niagara falls for our anniversary/vday/family day weekend. (Family day is a holiday that some of the provinces have in Canada). We took Friday off and stayed for one night. Along with some relaxation, we decided to hit up the outlet mall - how could you not? lol Unfortunately I spent more money than I was intending to, but overall, I'm really happy with my purchases

Coach Outlet was having an AWESOME sale. I was kicking myself in the butt, because I forgot to print out a 20% off coupon, but..Good news: as soon as I walked into the store, I was handed a 20% off coupon which was applicable to the already 25%-60% items. This coupon only applies to the Coach Factory Stores. Click here for the coupon.

Many of the items were 30%-50% off..add the 20% coupon = awesome deal!

This is what I picked up:

Both items, and taxes in for $218! :)

I also went into The Body Shop and bought a couple of items. They had these cards which you peeled to determine certain deals. I got a save $5 if you spend $20 or more. The Tea Tree oil cleanser and exfoliator were $8 each, puffs were $2, Blueberry Body Butter was $10, and the blush was only $1 :)

Then I hit up Levi's and Esprit. The jeans were only $36 and the tops together were just a little over $20

I caved in and bought my bf the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones for our anniversary/vday....I might stretch it and also include his bday in there too lol

These are really great at noise cancellation ..but it really hurt my bank account lol

Although it was cold, we walked around a bit, played a couple of games at the midway, played some slots at the casino, and ate lots of food. Overall, fun weekend!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend too! and...

Happy Chinese New Year to those who celebrate it :)

Jewelry Haul & Sephora Platinum Air Brush I'm addicted to accessories and jewelry right now. This is what I have purchased from Forever 21

And I got these rings from Ardene. The rings were 5 for $10! (awesome deal)

I have been thinking of purchasing a new brush for my liquid foundation. I have the MAC 187 and want to try something different. I've heard about the MAC 109 and the Sephora Platinum Air Brush #55 and want to know if anyone has any experience with them. I'm really leaning towards getting this brush..hmm. What brushes do you recommend for liquid foundation?
