Obsessed with nail polish - Essie's summer 2010 Collection

My current obsession: nail polish

I think it's because summer is here which gives me a good excuse to wear somewhat vibrant colours :D I really want to buy those green's from OPI's shrek collection, but I don't think my workplace would appreciate those colours =\

Anyways, I was at Winners the other day and saw that they had Essie's 2010 summer collection!

Has anyone tried the Seche Vite? I hear the gurus hyping up this product, but my current Revlon top coat seems to be doing a good job. I'll let you know how it compares!

Another thing I'm obsessed with are my silver and gold filled bangles. I wear them every single day :)

NOTD and Giveaway

Just a quick post on my NOTD: picked this one up from Shoppers when they were having a Revlon sale. It's called Perfect Pink and it's such a cute pink for summer^^ If you're looking for a cool toned pink, this is it! It was a bit streaky so for some nails I had to put on 3 coats. I'm really enjoying this colour! Here are some photos: it's funny how lighting changes the colour of the nailpolish lol

10 Honest things about me tag + goodies from France

Yup, so I'm still alive...just havent had enough time to sit down and do a post (sorry for the lame excuse)

So a very long time ago, I was tagged by Natalie ..so here we go!

The 10 honest things about me
1. I wish I had some extended family here in Canada - I think it would be so fun to go out with cousins etc
2. I would love to represent Japan (in the World CuP) and put up one of those flags up on my car, but I have yet to find a place that sells Japanese flags...it's frustrating!
3. I have a crush on Sidney Crosby
4. I like burly men lol (I should stick a photo of my bf here)
5. I hate when things are disorganized and when things are dirty. It grosses me out to see dirt in crevices, corners etc...but I hate cleaning and would pay someone else to do it lol
6. I don't like to use appliances that have been previously used =\... I have got to fix this issue of mine b/c it can get expensive - I ended up purchasing a brand new washer/dryer for the house dispite the fact that the previous one was in good working order. (In my defense, the washer/dryer was really dirty ..I mean how does a washer/dryer become dirty? It washes clothes!!!)
7. I am disappointed with the Torontonians that have participated in the G20 protest - violence was NOT necessary!!!! If you want to protest, protest peacefully please

8. I get comments about my skin -my best friends say I'm too pasty and look sickly, yet some ppl say they like the pale skin. I am confused =\ I have been wanting to be darker though and have been researching self tanners - any recommendations?
9. I could eat greek food at least once a week and not get sick of it lol
10. I need to slow down and appreciate the small things in life - like the fact that I have the food in the fridge to eat, a roof over my head, loving family and friends, and internet connection (which allows me to interact with people all over the world!)

How it all started

..and by "it" I mean cosmetics/skincare.

It started in Sept 2009. Prior to this, I only wore concealer for my undereye circles and curled my lashes and went out the door. I didn't care too much about my skin and I didn't wear any make up. I am a lazy person in general, so I couldn't see myself waking up extra early to apply make up. Never did I realize something called mineral make up. I just assumed that wearing make-up meant, taking out that foundation brush and applying a thick coat of liquid foundation - this was and never will be something I enjoy doing.


So what happend in Sept 2009? My best friend had her bday pre-party at a spa in Toronto. We spent a day pampering ourselves, got our mani/pedi's and at the end we decided to check out the make up that they had on display. It was Jane Iredale. The lady at the counter was kind enough to do everyone's make up (there were like 6 girls). I was so impressed with how the mineral make up gave me coverage, but it didn't look caked on. ..and the thing that sold me on the product was that it was easy to apply. Take a brush, swirl it around, and swirl it around on your face and you're done! woop woop - this stuff is for me! Unfortunately that day, I left the spa quite broke as I purchased the oh-so-famous Moon Glow and a pressed mineral powder compact. I am happy to announce for the first time in my life, I have hit pan on a product!


My current obsession is getting my skin to retain its moisture. These last couple of days for some reason I have been getting these really bad bad dry patches on my cheeks (>_< ) I also wouldn't mind losing the great pores of mine on my cheeks either.

GTA: Shiseido Warehouse sale!!!!!

Oh man...I told myself my next post would either be Natalie's tag or contest entry, but I just found out about this sale and I wanted to share it with you all

This weekend there will be a Shiseido Warehouse sale
May 14-17
Location: 303 Allstate Parkway, Markham
May 14: private sale 3-8 pm (invitation only)
My 16-17: Open to public (9-5 Sat and 9-3 Sun)
Apparently some of the the brands for sale are: Shiseido, Nars, Orlane, Zen, Cle de Peau, Issey Miyake etc ..

Someone noted that it took 4 hours to get in last year and that ppl waited since 6 in the morning for the Saturday opening.

Happy Shopping people! I unfortunately cannot make it again..missed out on the Lisa warehouse sale, and now missing out on this one! Darn - it's shiseido and nars too! (>_<)

My trip to India Part 1

Time really flies. It was about 1 year ago today that I packed my bags and headed to India for my best friend's wedding. Here are some photos that I took while I was there

Taj Mahal - it's SO beautiful in real life. It's just absolutely breathtaking. I was trying to get a photo with no one in it, but it's so crowded that it's hard to get that perfect shot. I got a shot of a kid taking a pose instead lol


We were stuck in traffic - all the tuk-tuks (auto-rickshaw) were squeezing their way through the busy streets
