How it all started

..and by "it" I mean cosmetics/skincare.

It started in Sept 2009. Prior to this, I only wore concealer for my undereye circles and curled my lashes and went out the door. I didn't care too much about my skin and I didn't wear any make up. I am a lazy person in general, so I couldn't see myself waking up extra early to apply make up. Never did I realize something called mineral make up. I just assumed that wearing make-up meant, taking out that foundation brush and applying a thick coat of liquid foundation - this was and never will be something I enjoy doing.


So what happend in Sept 2009? My best friend had her bday pre-party at a spa in Toronto. We spent a day pampering ourselves, got our mani/pedi's and at the end we decided to check out the make up that they had on display. It was Jane Iredale. The lady at the counter was kind enough to do everyone's make up (there were like 6 girls). I was so impressed with how the mineral make up gave me coverage, but it didn't look caked on. ..and the thing that sold me on the product was that it was easy to apply. Take a brush, swirl it around, and swirl it around on your face and you're done! woop woop - this stuff is for me! Unfortunately that day, I left the spa quite broke as I purchased the oh-so-famous Moon Glow and a pressed mineral powder compact. I am happy to announce for the first time in my life, I have hit pan on a product!


My current obsession is getting my skin to retain its moisture. These last couple of days for some reason I have been getting these really bad bad dry patches on my cheeks (>_< ) I also wouldn't mind losing the great pores of mine on my cheeks either.

GTA: Shiseido Warehouse sale!!!!!

Oh man...I told myself my next post would either be Natalie's tag or contest entry, but I just found out about this sale and I wanted to share it with you all

This weekend there will be a Shiseido Warehouse sale
May 14-17
Location: 303 Allstate Parkway, Markham
May 14: private sale 3-8 pm (invitation only)
My 16-17: Open to public (9-5 Sat and 9-3 Sun)
Apparently some of the the brands for sale are: Shiseido, Nars, Orlane, Zen, Cle de Peau, Issey Miyake etc ..

Someone noted that it took 4 hours to get in last year and that ppl waited since 6 in the morning for the Saturday opening.

Happy Shopping people! I unfortunately cannot make it again..missed out on the Lisa warehouse sale, and now missing out on this one! Darn - it's shiseido and nars too! (>_<)

My trip to India Part 1

Time really flies. It was about 1 year ago today that I packed my bags and headed to India for my best friend's wedding. Here are some photos that I took while I was there

Taj Mahal - it's SO beautiful in real life. It's just absolutely breathtaking. I was trying to get a photo with no one in it, but it's so crowded that it's hard to get that perfect shot. I got a shot of a kid taking a pose instead lol


We were stuck in traffic - all the tuk-tuks (auto-rickshaw) were squeezing their way through the busy streets

I'll be around, but won't be able to post for awhile as I transition into my parents home, and then to my new place -- sorry! I'll try and post more often once I settle in (late May to early June)

California Coral NOTD

Went to Shoppers the other day and was browsing their nail polish section and discovered that Essie polishes were on sale for $8.99. I picked myself up a pretty polish in coral: California Coral


I received nothing but compliments on the colour when I wore it this past weekend...well I still have it on now, but I'm contemplating whether or not it's office safe =\ What do you think? Is it office safe?

Juicy and new trend?

Just took a couple of photos of my Juicy couture necklace that I bought from the online Hautelook sale


I believe the cost was under $30! As for the actual necklace, I haven't worn it yet. It's not really my style >_< It's kind of bulky for my liking. (strangely enough my bf likes it though). I was thinking of wrapping it around my wrist twice and using it as a bracelet instead haha Maybe if I pair it with a simple tank in the summer, it wont be so bad

annndd.... I was browsing channels the other day and this image caught my attention

Is this a new trend that I'm missing out on? Capri jeans with boots? hm....I suppose everyone has their own style. I'm sure many have looked at me at one point and wondered where I was getting my style sense from :P

It has been raining the past couple of days and we, here in T.O., actually got hit with some flurries too! >_< ..well enough of that..the sun decided to come out for the weekend! Anyways, I'm going to keep this post short and straight to the point b/c my to do list keeps growing every minute. The very sweet and lovely superwoolu was kind enough to tag me with these awards (yay my first award tag)! It totally made my day ^__^



With these tags comes a very important task of sharing 5 facts about yourself...so here we go with my 5:

1. I didn't tell anyone for the longest time that I had a blog lol I was REALLY embarrassed to tell my best friends. (I haven't said anything to anybody else btw lol)

2. I like to keep my nails short. There is nothing wrong with long nails, but for myself all I can think of is the bacteria that is brewing under those long nails lol

3. Just sold my condo - only 1 day on the market! (woop woop!) and bought a townhouse with my bf -- one of the reasons why I have been so busy >_<

4. I have gained like 8 -10 lbs or so this past year! I have got to start working on my cardio again... =\

5. I'm obsessed with trying to shrink my pores on my cheek. I have been semi-successful with my right cheek, but no luck with my left!

Bonus 6. (I feel bad that my supposedly interesting facts aren't so interesting, so I'm throwing in a bonus fact about me) I have noticed new wrinkles on my neck! O_O...perhaps it's because of fact #4
